Dr. Wei Zhu is an Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics in the Department of World Languages at the University of South Florida (USF). She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Northern Arizona University and serves as a core faculty member in USF's M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Linguistics and Applied Language Studies. As Director of the M.A. Linguistics program, she leads academic initiatives and student mentorship.
Her research focuses on second language writing, academic and professional writing practices, and technology-mediated collaborative learning. She has published in journals such as Language Learning, TESOL Quarterly, and Journal of Second Language Writing. Dr. Zhu also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Second Language Writing.
