Wei-Hsin Chen

Professor Wei-Hsin Chen is affiliated with the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. He has held academic positions across multiple institutions including Fooyin University, National Taiwan Ocean University, and National University of Tainan. His research focuses on energy science, environmental engineering, and atmospheric processes. He has been a visiting professor at Princeton University, University of New South Wales, University of Edinburgh, and University of British Columbia.

Education: B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tunghai University (1988), Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from National Cheng Kung University (1993). Post-Ph.D., he worked as a process engineer in an iron and steel corporation before transitioning to academia.

Research interests include hydrogen technologies, bioenergy systems, carbon capture methodologies, and air pollution mitigation. He has authored over 350 papers (h-index 33) and serves on editorial boards of journals like Applied Energy and International Journal of Energy Research.

Notable awards: 2015 Outstanding Research Award, 2015 Highly Cited Paper Award, and 2016 Highly Cited Researcher recognition. He has also authored books on energy science and environmental topics.
