Hsu Yue Dian

Prof. Dr. Hsu Yue-Dian is a Professor at the Department of Law and Graduate Institute of Law in Science and Technology, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. His research focuses on Educational Law, Religious Law, Cultural Law, Constitutional Law, and Administrative Law. He has held visiting scholar positions at the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan during 2014-2015 and 2018.

Research Interests: Hsu’s work emphasizes constitutional governance, cultural rights, religious autonomy, and legal frameworks for education and human rights. His monographs, such as Human Rights, Democracy, and the Rule of Law: When People Encounter the Constitution, have received awards from the Ministry of Education, ROC.

Awards: Honored with the 2010 Ministry of Education Human Rights Education Publishing Award and National Cheng Kung University’s Humanities and Social Sciences Monograph Award.

Advising & Grants: Active in legal and human rights education initiatives for Tainan City schools, serving on multiple governmental advisory committees including the Legal Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Education, ROC, and the Review Committee for National Compensation, Tainan Branch, Ministry of Justice.

Labs/Teams: Director of the Sustainable Taiwan Cultural Foundation and Supervisor of the National Culture and Arts Foundation, focusing on cultural preservation and legal advocacy.
