Chen Yi-Kai

Prof. Dr. Chen Yi-Kai is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Law, National Cheng Kung University, specializing in European Law, International Law, and Constitutional Law. He holds a Ph.D. from Tuebingen University, Germany, and has held academic positions at Providence University (2007–2009) and National Cheng Kung University since 2009.

• Education: LLB from National Taiwan University (1990), LLM in Public Law (1995), and a Ph.D. in European Constitutional Law (2007).

Research focuses on European legal integration, constitutional theory, and international maritime law. Key publications include analyses of EU constitutional drafts and comparative studies on German and Taiwanese legal systems. He has been a visiting scholar at the European Research Center on Contemporary Taiwan during multiple periods (2009–2018).
