Wayne Stacy is the Executive Director of the Berkeley Center For Law & Technology at the UC Berkeley School of Law. He concurrently holds an adjunct professor role at multiple law schools, specializing in patent law, litigation, copyright, and PTAB practice. He previously served as Director of the USPTO’s Silicon Valley Office and held senior leadership roles at top law firms like Baker Botts and Cooley LLP.

His research and professional focus centers on intellectual property law, technology policy, and litigation strategies. He has been consistently recognized as a leading patent litigator by industry publications and has advised federal court committees and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), where he trained attorneys in trial skills for public service.
