معرفی
Wayne Greene is the Dean of the School of Medical, Molecular and Forensic Sciences at Murdoch University within the College of Environmental and Life Sciences. With nearly 40 years of experience in research, teaching, and academic leadership across Australia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom, his work spans molecular biology, immunology, and veterinary science. Greene holds a Bachelor of Science (1983–1985), Honours (1986), and Doctor of Philosophy (1987–1992) in Microbiology from the University of Western Australia.
His research focuses on transposable DNA elements in evolution, canine lymphoma, flea transcriptomics, and immune-nervous system interactions. Key achievements include pioneering studies on hemoglobin epsilon as a biomarker for canine lymphoma and viral infection mechanisms in mice. He has received Murdoch University’s Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (2011) and Enhancing Learning (2013), alongside an Outstanding Service Award from the School of Veterinary and Life Sciences.
Greene leads a multidisciplinary team delivering programs in Biomedical Science, Forensic Biology, and Food Science. His publications emphasize neuroimmune interactions, viral pathogenesis, and molecular diagnostics. His academic contributions bridge clinical, molecular, and evolutionary biology, with a focus on translational research.
