Wasem Gawish

Wasem Gawish is a clinical assistant professor and congressional health policy fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Pharmacy, affiliated with the VCU Postdoctoral Scholar-Fellow program. His work focuses on health policy analysis, particularly the ethical and practical implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare. He currently advises U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-NM) on health and AI-related policy issues, leveraging his role as co-chair of the U.S. Senate AI Caucus.
