Wanda Martin

Dr. Wanda Martin is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan. She holds a PhD from the University of Victoria (2014), an MN from the University of Manitoba (2004), and a BScN from the University of Victoria (2001). Her research focuses on food security, climate change, health equity, systems thinking, and sustainability, with a particular emphasis on reducing health disparities through community-based initiatives. Dr. Martin teaches courses including Environmental Sustainability in Health, Qualitative Research, and Public Health Nursing.

Her work integrates qualitative methodologies and systems thinking to address complex public health challenges. Recent research includes studies on food waste reduction, urban agriculture, and housing inequities. She has received funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and holds the Clinical Research Nurse Award from the US Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program.
