Dr. Walter E. Grunden is a Professor of History at Bowling Green State University's College of Arts and Sciences, with research specializing in Modern Japan and China, Science and Technology Policy, and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) studies. He holds a permanent appointment as Visiting Research Professor at Japan's Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI) and serves as a consultant to the U.S. federal government on Cold War historic preservation.
