Dr. Andrew Levidis is a Lecturer in Modern Japanese History at the Australian National University (ANU) and a Research Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy's Australia-Japan Research Centre. He holds a BA from the University of Melbourne and a PhD in History from Kyoto University's Faculty of Law. His research focuses on Modern Japan's empire-state, Cold War dynamics, and global intellectual history, bridging transwar conservatism and imperial legacies.

Notable contributions include co-editing In the Ruins of the Japanese Empire (2020) and a monograph on Kishi Nobusuke's role in Japan's right-wing transwar rise.
