Dr Wahabalbari Ahmed is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Director at Birmingham City University, with over eight years of experience in higher education. He is recognized for his leadership in designing and delivering high-quality postgraduate programs, and for his dedication to mentoring PhD and Master's students.
His research interests lie at the intersection of Islamic Finance, Business Economics, and the psychology of scarcity. His groundbreaking PhD thesis titled "Scarcity Thinking and Human Wants: Re-Examining the Concept of Scarcity in Economics" challenges traditional economic assumptions and has led to numerous publications in prestigious journals and presentations at international conferences. Dr Ahmed is particularly skilled in applying Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to uncover complex relationships in economic behavior.
Beyond academia, Dr Ahmed is deeply committed to community engagement, volunteering his expertise with various charitable and community organizations across Birmingham and the UK.
