Dr Volker Märgner is a researcher at the Institute for Communications Technology, Technische Universität Braunschweig. He was actively involved in the Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 950 ‘Manuscript Cultures in Asia, Africa and Europe’ (2011–2020), leading Project Z03 on image processing methods for manuscript and character analysis from 2015 to 2019. His work focuses on applying computational techniques to cultural heritage preservation.
