Dr. Vladislava Stoyanova is an Associate Professor of Public International Law and Senior Lecturer at Lund University's Faculty of Law. She leads the Wallenberg Academy Fellowship project 'The Borders within: the Multifaceted Legal Landscape of Migrant Integration in Europe' and holds the Henrik Enderlein Prize (2023). Her expertise spans Human Rights Law, Migration Law, EU Law, and Public International Law with a focus on positive obligations, discrimination, refugee rights, and trafficking in human beings.
Education & Awards: PhD from Lund University (2016), Wallenberg Academy Fellow (2021–2026), multiple research grants, and recognition for her monographs such as *Positive Obligations under the European Convention on Human Rights* (OUP, 2023) and *Human Trafficking and Slavery Reconsidered* (CUP, 2017).
Research Interests: Causation in human rights law, state obligations under ECHR, migrant integration, complementary pathways for legal entry, and the intersection of socio-economic rights with migration law. She directs courses on migration law and EU fundamental rights.
Grants & Projects: Leads the €7.5M Wallenberg project and co-edits special journal issues on socio-economic rights and non-discrimination. Supervises doctoral students like Emiliya Bratanova.
Awards: Henrik Enderlein Prize (2023), Wallenberg Fellowship, Lund Society of Humanities award (2016), Oscar II scholarship (2016), and Land Steiermark Fellow (2024).
