Dr. Vivek Singh was Full Professor and Chairman of Psychiatry at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso. Previously at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, he served as Professor of Psychiatry, Medical Director of University Hospital Psychiatric Services, and Chairman of the Institutional Review Board.
His work focused on bipolar disorders research, clinical psychiatry, and global mental health initiatives. He was Editor-in-Chief of the International Society for Bipolar Disorders' global newsletter and served on their Executive Committee.
Dr. Singh was particularly dedicated to resident education and mentorship, establishing foundational programs for addressing border population mental health needs and integrating mental healthcare into primary settings.
