Amritpaul S. Chatrath

Dr. Amritpaul S. Chatrath serves as Associate Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Program within the Graduate Medical Education department at the University of the Incarnate Word's School of Osteopathic Medicine. He concurrently co-founded wiseMIND, a private psychiatric practice in San Antonio specializing in innovative treatments like PRISM for PTSD.

His clinical expertise focuses on serving the LGBTQIA+ community, trauma survivors, and men's mental health. Dr. Chatrath's educational background combines medical and business disciplines, holding both an MD and MBA.

As Secretary-Treasurer of the Bexar County Psychiatric Society and advisor to Texas Tech University's Honors College, he actively shapes regional psychiatric standards and mentors future medical students.

His residency training at UTHSC-San Antonio provided extensive experience across diverse settings: University Hospital's indigent population, South Texas VA, and Brooke Army Medical Center.

Dr. Chatrath provides dedicated mentorship to PGY-4 residents preparing for post-graduation careers while maintaining active clinical practice. His leadership emphasizes tailoring psychiatric care to South Texas community needs through both academic and private practice channels.
