David E. Garza

David E. Garza, DO, MS, MEdL, is the Chair of Primary Care and Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) in San Antonio, Texas. He transitioned to full-time faculty status in 2020 after 25 years as a solo family medicine physician in Laredo, Texas. His professional roles include Founding Program Director of UIWSOM's Family Medicine Residency and key contributor to establishing Internal Medicine Residency programs and a 12-month core clerkship program for third-year students.
