Viva Nsair is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Department of Management within the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. She holds a Ph.D. from Wayne State University, an MBA from McMaster University, and a B.Sc. from McMaster University. Her research focuses on gender differences in workplace experiences and the implications of biases, particularly how gender identity and stereotypes influence opportunities and treatment in organizational settings. She has published in journals such as the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.
Dr. Nsair teaches courses in organizational behavior and leadership. Prior to academia, she worked as a project manager across multiple countries (Saudi Arabia, France, Canada, Kuwait, and the U.S.) and industries, including healthcare, consulting, multinational corporations, and startups.
Her work bridges academic research and practical insights from her diverse professional background, emphasizing equitable workplace practices and understanding systemic biases.
