Vittoria Rubino is a doctoral fellow in the English program at St. John’s University, currently in her final semester of coursework. She teaches a First-Year Writing course for the Institute for Writing Studies, integrating her research interests in literature and composition. Her academic background includes a BA in English from Concordia College (2012) and an MA in English from Iona College (2014).
Her research focuses on the intersection of literature and composition, particularly expressivist modern and contemporary works, and their application in pedagogy. She explores critical theory frameworks such as identity politics and aesthetics to inform teaching practices in the writing classroom.
