Vittoria Raffa is a Full Professor in Molecular Biology at the Department of Biology, University of Pisa. She serves as the Delegate for Research in the Sector of Vital Sciences and leads the Nanomedicine Lab, focusing on programmable nanomedicine to modulate cellular functions through molecular biology and nanotechnology.
Educational Background:

- M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering
Research Interests: The Nanomedicine Lab explores programmable nanomedicine with three main lines:
- Neuroscience: nanostructures for nerve regeneration
- Cancer therapy: nano-formulations for personalized medicine
- Gene therapy: non-viral vectors for drug/gene delivery
Advising: Supervises PhD students Elena Capitanini and Lorenzo da Palmata. The lab includes Senior Technician Dr. Elena Landi, Assistant Professor Dr. Alessandro Falconieri, PostDocs Dr. Soultana Konstantinidou and Dr. Allegra Coppini, and Fellow Laura Talarico.
