Virginia Fusco is an Assistant Professor at Charles III University of Madrid, affiliated with the Department of Humanities: Philosophy, Language, Literature Theory. She participates in the Philosophy and Cultural Criticism (Ph&CC) and Ecological Technics and Humanities (ECOTH) research groups and contributes to the University Institute on Gender Studies.
Her research explores intersections of political philosophy, feminist theory, and cultural criticism, focusing on subjectivity, affect theory, and the political implications of materialist feminisms. She examines how emotional and psychosocial forces shape political movements and gender relations.
Recent publications analyze topics ranging from Toni Negri's political philosophy to representations of masculinity in horror literature, showing consistent engagement with how power dynamics manifest through affective and discursive practices.
Dr. Fusco is currently researching projects including 'El vínculo y su contrario' (2022-2025) focusing on political disaffection and representation.
