Ana Peluffo is Professor of Latin American Literatures and Cultures at the University of California, Davis, with affiliate positions in Comparative Literature and Women and Gender Studies. She earned her Ph.D. from New York University and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College. Her office is located at 703 Sproul Hall.
Her research explores interdisciplinary intersections including:
- Affect theory and emotional regimes in Latin American cultural production
- Gender, race, and sexuality in 19th-21st century literature and film
- Transnational feminisms and cultural exchanges across the Americas
- Representations of childhood, masculinity, and national identity
- Latin American cinematic traditions, particularly New Argentine Cinema
Peluffo's scholarly publications demonstrate consistent focus on emotion studies, gender politics, and historical memory across Latin America.
