Virginia Chomitz is an Associate Professor at Tufts University, holding appointments in the School of Medicine (Public Health and Community Medicine), School of Arts and Sciences (Community Health), and Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy (Nutrition Interventions, Communication, and Entrepreneurship). Her research focuses on community-engaged public health initiatives, particularly in obesity prevention, active living promotion, and health equity.
