Viola Renner-Motz is a Scientific Associate at the Historical Institute of the University of Mannheim, affiliated with the Chair of Contemporary History. Education: She completed her studies in secondary school teaching with a focus on history, French, politics, and economics at the University of Mannheim, Sciences Po Rennes (France), and the German School Helsinki (Finland), graduating in 2020. She later completed a teaching internship in Baden-Baden.
Research interests emphasize modern German political history, post-war governance, and the intersection of institutional continuity and Nazi legacies. Her current project critically examines how former Nazi collaborators reintegrated into political structures post-1945, shedding light on ethical and institutional memory challenges.
