Prof. Angela Borgstedt is a Professor and Senior Academic Councillor at the University of Mannheim's Historical Institute, leading the Resistance Research Centre since 2011. She specializes in resistance movements against National Socialism in southwest Germany and the history of the Baden bar. Her academic journey includes studies in history, literature, and medieval studies at Karlsruhe, followed by research roles there before moving to Mannheim in 2008. She completed her habilitation in 2010 with a thesis on Baden’s bar history.
Her current research focuses on a comprehensive analysis of southwest German resistance. Consultation hours are digital-only via email appointment.
