Vincenzo Borghetti is an Associate Professor of Music History at the University of Verona, affiliated with the Department of Cultures and Civilizations under the Arts and Geographies section. He holds roles in multiple academic committees, including the Faculty Board of the PhD in Philology, Literature, and Performance Studies, and the Commissione Didattica of the Department of Cultures and Civilizations. His research focuses on Renaissance polyphony, the presence of Renaissance music in contemporary media, early 20th-century opera, and music philology, particularly the operas of Gioachino Rossini. He has led projects such as 'La polifonia rinascimentale' and a critical edition of Rossini's 'Elisabetta regina d'Inghilterra.' Borghetti is a member of the Academia Europaea since 2019.
