Simona Brunetti-Dep is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cultures and Civilizations at the University of Verona, specializing in theatre history, performance studies, and cultural heritage. Her research focuses on Commedia dell'Arte, 19th-century theatrical adaptations, and the Gonzaga family's patronage of spectacle in Mantua. She coordinates the Herla Project, documenting Gonzaga theatrical productions from 1480–1630. Active in teaching and administration, she leads courses on drama analysis, theatrical criticism, and performance theory. Key roles include President of the PhD Committee in Archaeology, Art History, and History, and member of the Faculty Board for Communication Studies.
