Vincent Pasquier is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Resources Management at HEC Montréal. He holds a PhD in Management from Grenoble École de Management and Université d’Auvergne, a Master de Recherche en théorie des organisations from Paris IX Dauphine, and a Master en Management from Audencia Nantes. He is a member of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (CRIMT) and Obvia, focusing on societal impacts of digital technology.
His research concentrates on labor relations, digital transformation in workplaces, and union strategies. Key themes include the role of social media in labor organizations, algorithmic management, and ecological transition negotiations. He has published extensively on topics like union identity construction online, downsizing processes, and the Fight for 15 movement.
Teaching responsibilities include courses on labor relations fundamentals and managing in unionized environments. He has supervised three MSc projects on collective negotiations, union digital revitalization, and social media strategies in Quebec unions. His recent work includes a guide for stakeholders on negotiating algorithmic management systems.
