Dr. Vincent Melomo is an Associate Professor of Anthropology and Department Chair of Culture, History, and Politics at William Peace University. He specializes in sociocultural anthropology, historical archaeology, and the study of ethnic diversity in the U.S., with a focus on immigrant communities and post-Civil War Reconstruction. His recent work includes preserving Raleigh’s Oberlin Village Freedmen’s community and cemetery.
