Pamela Cressey is a historical archaeologist and Professorial Lecturer specializing in community archaeology and preservation planning. Her work focuses on urban development, African-American/Euro-American domestic life, and material culture. She served as City Archaeologist for Alexandria, Virginia, directing excavations at Shuter's Hill Plantation and the Alexandria Freedmen's Cemetery.
