Vincent Lauzer is a Course Instructor (Recorder) in the Department of Music Performance at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. He is the artistic director of the Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival and an internationally recognized recorder player. His work spans performances with ensembles like Arion Baroque Orchestra, Les Violons du Roy, and Pacific Baroque Orchestra.
Education: Graduated from McGill University under professor Matthias Maute.
Research interests focus on Early Music and Baroque performance practices, with a specialization in recorder. His recording of Vivaldi's concertos earned a Diapason d'Or (2018).
Notable awards include the 2013-2014 Révélation Radio-Canada, 2012 Opus Breakthrough Artist, and Fernand Lindsay Career Award. He has performed in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, France, Germany, Spain, and Belgium.
Professional roles include membership in Flûte Alors! and La Cigale, alongside solo engagements with leading period-instrument ensembles.
