Matthew Jennejohn is a Course Instructor at McGill University's Schulich School of Music, specializing in Baroque Oboe, Cornetto, and Early Music Ensembles. He teaches in the Music Performance Department and is affiliated with the Schulich School's Early Music program.
Education includes studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, McGill University, and the University of British Columbia. His expertise centers on historical performance practices using period instruments.
Active as a soloist and chamber musician, he performs with leading early music ensembles such as Ensemble Arion, Tafelmusik, and La Nef. He co-founded the cornetto and sackbutt ensemble La Rose des Vents. His recordings appear on labels including ATMA and Naxos, and he frequently appears on CBC Radio and Radio-Canada.
Jennejohn also crafts custom cornettos for professional musicians worldwide, blending historical craftsmanship with modern performance needs.
