mr. dr. Vincent Glerum is a Professor by Special Appointment of International and European Criminal Law at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Law. He concurrently serves as Senior Legal Advisor (Europees Strafrecht) at the Amsterdam District Court. His expertise focuses on EU criminal law, international judicial cooperation, and the European Arrest Warrant system. Glerum holds a law degree from the University of Amsterdam (1992) and a PhD from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2013), with his doctoral thesis analyzing extradition refusal grounds under mutual recognition principles.
