Professor Vincent Gaffney holds the Anniversary Chair in Landscape Archaeology at the University of Bradford's School of Archaeological & Forensic Sciences. His research encompasses landscape archaeology, submerged prehistoric landscapes, digital heritage, and geophysical imaging techniques.
Current projects include ERC Synergy grant Subnordica, AHRC Taken at the Flood, and Stonehenge Hidden Landscapes. His work employs 3D virtual imaging and geophysical survey to reconstruct archaeological landscapes.
Awards include the European Archaeological Heritage Prize (2013), Queen's Anniversary Prize, and MBE for scientific research (2018). Research outputs reflect interdisciplinary approaches merging archaeology with geophysics and computational modeling.
