Vilma Portti is a Researcher at the University of Lapland's Faculty of Social Sciences, engaged in interdisciplinary health promotion research. She holds a Master of Health Care (Polytechnic) in Occupational Therapy from Jyväskylä Polytechnic University of Applied Sciences (2017-2020).
Her research focuses on cross-sector collaboration in healthcare, administrative science applications in public health, and evidence-based strategies for improving wellbeing services. Key projects include the VASA 2 initiative (2023-2025), promoting health services integration in Lapland. She has contributed to datasets analyzing expert perspectives on wellbeing promotion and presented work on social prescribing in Finnish Lapland's healthcare system.
Her recent activities include organizing the Hallinnon ja kuntatutkimuksen päivät conference (2024) and presenting at academic forums on multiagency collaboration frameworks. Current research emphasizes regional health policy implementation and evaluation methodologies.
