Marjo Suhonen is a Professor at the University of Lapland's Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Welfare, Work and Citizenship. She specializes in digitalization in public management, healthcare management, and social robotics applications in welfare services. Her research emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in public sectors, particularly in Lapland.
Key projects include Arctic RoboWelfare (2023–2026), focusing on welfare robotics, and VASA 2 (2023–2025), advancing health and social care in Lapland. She has received the Outstanding Paper Award (2019) at the Emerald Literati Awards for her contributions to public administration research.
