Jaana Leinonen is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Lapland's Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Digital Society and Welfare. She specializes in administrative science, educational leadership, and wellbeing governance. Her work focuses on cross-sector collaboration in health promotion, digital transformation in public services, and leadership challenges in educational contexts.
Leinonen has led/co-led 11 projects since 2015, including the VASA initiative developing Lapland's wellbeing services and HYJOS program enhancing leadership education. She received the 2021 Best Paper Award for research on data utilization barriers in social organizations.
