Vijay Seshadri is a Professor in the Writing department at Sarah Lawrence College, where he has taught since 1998. He is a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and influential literary figure whose work bridges American and Indian cultural traditions.
Seshadri received his BA from Oberlin College and MFA from Columbia University, establishing the foundation for his distinguished academic and creative career. His educational background reflects his deep engagement with literary traditions that inform both his teaching and creative work.
Seshadri's research and creative interests focus on poetry, creative writing, American literature, and Indian diaspora studies.
