Reese Conner is an English Lecturer at Arizona State University, specializing in creative writing, poetry, and composition studies. He teaches first-year composition for multilingual learners, business/technical writing, and poetry workshops. Conner holds an M.F.A. from ASU and has published widely in literary journals including Tin House, The Missouri Review, and Rattle. His debut poetry collection The Body He Left Behind (2021) won the 2020 Cider Press Review Editors' Prize. Notable awards include the Turner Prize (Academy of American Poets), Mabelle A. Lyon Poetry Award, and Pushcart Prize nomination.
His creative work explores themes of identity, transformation, and existential inquiry through vivid domestic and natural imagery. Conner's pedagogical certifications include teaching multilingual learners and online/hybrid courses. He resides in Tucson, Arizona, with his spouse and three cats.
