Vijay Nambi

Dr. Vijay Nambi is a Professor of Medicine-Cardiology and Program Director of the Lipids and Lipoprotein Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. He also serves as a Staff Cardiologist at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Hospital. His clinical expertise includes internal medicine, cardiology (focusing on prevention and non-invasive imaging), and vascular medicine. Dr. Nambi holds an MBBS from Madras Medical College (1998), completed fellowships in cardiology and internal medicine, and earned a PhD in clinical research from Baylor College of Medicine (2012).

His research centers on atherosclerosis imaging, biomarkers, and cardiovascular disease prevention. He has contributed to over 90 publications and is actively involved with the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study.
