Vlad C. Vasile

Vlad C. Vasile, M.D., Ph.D., is a Consultant Preventive Cardiologist and Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He also holds an Assistant Professor appointment in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, where he co-directs the Clinical Specialty Laboratory. As Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Health Clinic and Practice Chair of the Preventive Cardiology Division, he specializes in cardiovascular disease prevention, risk factor management, and novel biomarker development.

His recent publications highlight trends in ceramide-based risk prediction, Lp(a) testing, and biomarker-driven cardiovascular event association studies.

He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, and European Society of Cardiology, and serves on committees like the Preventive Cardiology Education and Fellowship Committee.
