Professor Vignir G Helgason is a Reader in Cancer Research at the Institute of Cancer Sciences, University of Glasgow, and leads the Helgason Laboratory at the Wolfson Wohl Cancer Research Centre. His work is centered on translational leukemia research, particularly focusing on leukemia stem cells, autophagy, and cancer metabolism.
