Dr. Victoria Timperley is an academic and researcher in Childhood and Youth Studies at the School of Social Sciences, Cardiff University. Her work focuses on neurodiversity, disabilities, creative research ethics, and gender/sexuality education. She holds a PhD from Cardiff University and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the British Psychological Society.
Her expertise includes qualitative and creative research methods, co-producing studies with children and marginalized groups. She co-authored the book *Sandboxing in Practice* (2025), exploring sand-based qualitative interviewing. She developed the 'Case of Ethics' tool to enhance ethical engagement with young participants.
Teaching includes modules on psychological approaches to education, social and cultural psychology, and feminist sociology. She actively supervises postgraduate students using participatory methods. Awards include the HEA Fellowship and BPS membership. Her research emphasizes ethical frameworks, youth voice, and innovative methodologies.
