Victoria Bucholtz, PhD, is a Sessional Lecturer in the Faculty of Humanities at Mount Royal University. She holds a PhD from the University of Calgary, an MA and BA from the University of Alberta. Her research focuses on German history, military history, gender theory, and the history of emotions, particularly examining how emotions were politically manipulated in conflict contexts. She teaches courses emphasizing critical analysis of primary/secondary sources and fosters intersectional debates in the classroom.
Her scholarly work includes analyses of post-WWI German expeditionary forces in the Baltics and contested identities in Weimar revolutionary politics. She contributes to historical discourse through publications with Palgrave Macmillan. Contact: vbucholtz@mtroyal.ca.
