Victoria Bell is a Senior Lecturer at Staffordshire University’s Institute of Policing. With a background in criminology and sociology, she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Crime and Society, Evidence-Based Policing, Gender and Sexuality, and Research Project. Her work spans academic instruction, youth rehabilitation, and community support, alongside research into policing education, youth justice, and the intersection of crime and dark tourism.
- Education: MSc in Criminology (University of Leicester), Postgraduate Certificate in Higher and Professional Education (Staffordshire University), BA (Hons) in Crime, Deviance and Society and English.
Her research focuses on police culture and education, youth crime rehabilitation, media portrayals of criminal justice, and dark tourism. She has explored employer attitudes toward ex-offender employment and the role of technology in enhancing student learning experiences.
Victoria has collaborated with the Ministry of Defence on security and migration training and worked with youth offenders in Stoke-on-Trent and Brinsford YOI. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the British Society of Criminology.
