Sarah Plimley is a Lecturer at Staffordshire University within the School of Health, Education, Policing and Sciences. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Criminology with first-class honours and a PgCHPE (Postgraduate Certificate in Higher and Professional Education) with distinction. Her research focuses on desistance from crime, criminal justice system reforms, and special police forces. She is Deputy Chair of the British Society of Criminology’s Prison Research Network, fostering collaboration between academics and practitioners.

- Business crime and gambling-related offenses
- Marketisation in criminal justice institutions
