Sacha Smith is a Lecturer in Policing at the Institute of Policing, Staffordshire University. She teaches on the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP), focusing on modules such as Policing Practice, Evidence-Based Policing, and Community Policing. Her research interests include victimology, offender management, rural policing, and lifelong education.

Sacha’s research explores evidence-based policing strategies, criminological theory, and community engagement. Sacha is affiliated with the Research Centre for Crime, Justice and Security and actively engaged with the Cambridge Centre for Evidence-Based Policing. She has supervised PCDA students’ final-year research projects and provided academic support to over 500 students in business management and nursing.
