Vicki Vyse

Vicki Vyse is a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Buying & Merchandising at the Manchester Fashion Institute, Manchester Metropolitan University. She holds a degree in Clothing Design and Production Management from Manchester Polytechnic and has over two decades of industry experience in womenswear and homeware buying, including a role as Buying Manager overseeing a category worth over £100 million. Her expertise spans trend research, product development, and international sourcing in both the Far East and UK regions.

Dr. Vyse has taught at three universities, integrating her industry knowledge to prepare students for fashion careers. Her research focuses on the decline of traditional high street retail and the growth of online retail platforms. She works full-time at Cavendish South campus (Room C2.25), maintaining office hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.
