Dr. Vicki Squires is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Research, Graduate Support and International Initiatives) in the Department of Educational Administration at the University of Saskatchewan. She holds leadership roles in advancing post-secondary education, focusing on leadership development, student well-being, and organizational governance.
Education: PhD in Education (2010), MEd (2004), BEd (1984) from the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to academia, she worked as a special education teacher and vice-principal in Saskatoon Public Schools.
Research Interests:
- Post-secondary leadership and governance
- Student well-being frameworks (e.g., Okanagan Charter)
- Adaptive leadership models
- Learning analytics and e-learning
- Policy development in education
Advising & Grants:
- Supervised 4 completed Master's, 1 PhD, and currently mentors 2 MEd/7 PhD students
- Principal Investigator on 8 research projects including a Tri-Council-funded study (2021)
- Developed leadership programs: Undergraduate certificate and Master's specialization in PSE Leadership
