Dr. Paul Newton is a Professor in the Department of Educational Administration at the University of Saskatchewan. He previously served as an Associate Professor at the University of Alberta and held leadership roles including Principal in the North East School Division and instrumental music teacher in Saskatoon Catholic Schools. His research focuses on school improvement, the principalship, leadership practices, staff development, and 21st-century learning outcomes. He has conducted international studies on school autonomy, teacher leadership, and educational policy in countries like Finland, Singapore, and Mexico. Dr. Newton is editor of the Canadian Journal of Educational Administration and Policy and has authored/co-authored over 40 books and chapters.
