Vicente Delgado, affectionately known as Tito, serves as a Lecturer in Design Communication at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, where he focuses on image-making and cultural communication through experimental, symbolic creative responses. His practice spans diverse mediums and engages students in dynamic classroom experiences.
His educational foundation includes a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Central St Martins College of Arts and Design, London.
Delgado's research centers on Storytelling, Printmaking, Art Books, and Objects and Recycled Materials, emphasizing sustainability and cross-cultural dialogue. He actively explores how traditional elements like the Angklung musical instrument can be reinterpreted through contemporary design lenses, creating immersive communicative experiences that bridge cultural heritage with modern expression.
His creative portfolio demonstrates consistent engagement with art book culture and material innovation, particularly evident in projects like "Contemporary Interpretations of Angklung Singapore" (2012) and "LA LIBRERIA" at Tokyo Art Book Fair (2011). These works reveal his interdisciplinary methodology blending Southeast Asian cultural studies, sound art, and sustainable design practices to challenge conventional communication frameworks.
Delgado contributes to institutional development through his role on the library materials team, enhancing academic resources while maintaining active participation in international exhibitions and workshops that showcase his boundary-pushing approach to design education.
